Why is Bryn Posey doing this challenge?

You do wonder what you’re doing when you are half way up some hill, wet, tired and breathing so hard you think your lungs are going to burst.
You start to really wonder "would it not be much easier just to chill out at the weekends, spend time with friends and family?".
Then you get to the top of the hill and you look up for the first time and the view takes your breath away and you gather your thoughts and suddenly you remember
why your putting yourself through this...
I lost my father to leukaemia back in 1999 and for many years didn't dwell on it and pushed it to the back of my mind. In 2006 I realised I had spent a lot of time focusing on my life, and on my personal achievements. I was not really sure where I was going with my life.
On new years eve 2007 I made a resolution to do something for someone else, that in no way benefited myself (directly). Since then I have run the London Marathon for Children with Leukaemia [dressed I might add as Mr. Tickle!]. At the end of that race I was so elated and realised I had made a difference; yet I realised I could do so much more. I promptly signed myself up for the Great North Run 2008 and The 2009 London Marathon.
You would think that would be enough for any person...
Then on a late summers evening in June I received a call from Darren! "Do you fancy running, climbing, walking and possible falling off the height of Everest in British peaks?". Without a pause to even catch my breath I said, "Yes why not".
Now a few months on and the training has begun in earnest, the other races are looming close, I feel slightly nervous and a little daunted, but knowing that one day a few months a way I'll be fulfilling that new years resolution simply doing what I can to help to some one else!
I'm the main fundraiser and logistics for the team.
